Matt Griem is a graduate student of the University of Toronto and recently completed his M.A. in international relations. He obtained an undergraduate degree from Trent University in international political economy and political studies. Matt has been involved in numerous academic projects at the university level, including studies on U.S. policies on dollarization, the flight of Russian capital, the international toxic waste trade, the policy of Great Lakes renewal, and the NAFTA's effects on Canadian labour. He has been a teaching assistant to several courses, including international law and global politics. Matt's research interests include financial crises and reform, finance and the environment, and the history of international political economy.
