The bill for the G-7 summit in Halifax could be as much as $35 million. The Nova Scotia government put up $5 million yesterday. The city is contributing $2.8 million. And Ottawa intends to put up $15 million-$18 million for everything from entertainers to RCMP bomb squads when the leaders of the seven largest industrial democracies meet June 15-17. $8 million is hoped for from private-sector donations.
