Halifax G-7 summit date set
Prime Minister Jean Chretien announced Friday the Group of
Seven economic summit in Halifax will be held from June 16-18.
Leaders from Canada, the U.S., Britain, France, Germany, Japan,
Italy and the European Union will attend the meeting, which is held
each year to promote international co-operation on economic issues.
Russian President Boris Yeltsin will also participate in
discussions of politicial issues.
